I had extremely high hopes for the third part of The Elements of Chemistry series and Ms. Reid did not disappoint me one single bit. She could’ve thrown Martin and Kaitlyn back together instead, she allows them take their time.
I really loved that they took their own sweet time and spent time together in a non-sexual way, which was what they should’ve done from the very beginning. Kaitlyn and Martin spend almost a year away from each other and during that time, they do a lot of growing up and changing. Clearly, they needed that time to examine their own lives and decide what they really wanted to do.
When they finally circle back around to each other (and let’s face it, they are totally MFEO-madeforeachother) they are finally ready to be in a mature relationship with each other. The pull between them was completely undeniable and the UST was painful at times, but I appreciated the development of the relationship. When Kaitlyn and Martin finally get back together for good, it could not be more right. Sigh.
Penny Reid, thank you so much for taking your time with Martin and Kaitlyn in Capture, you’ve certainly captured my devotion…once again.
Edited to add– I was looking for something to say about this book on FB and how it’s the last book and I’m kinda sad. One of my favorite songs came to mind, an oldie but a goodie by Crowded House. (Is my age showing?) “Hey now, hey now, don’t dream it’s over…”
